Newtown CT shootings: Let's NOT make it political

 26. The horrifying number of bodies found in the Sandy Hook elementary school.

20. TWENTY little angels, between 6 and 7 years old murdered a few days before Christmas. What should be the time of their lives, the great period of holiday expectations, writing to Santa, decorating with their parents...,wanting a puppy or kitty, a Barbie doll or a Transformer toy. All of this is GONE.

I'm a parent. I cannot remotely imagine what it can be like. 600 miles away, but so close to home. I am teary-eyed as I write this. Our kids are safe, in their beds, surrounded with their prized possessions. Tonight, for the third night in a row, 20 kid's rooms will be empty. All that will be left are the memories of singing, playing, crying, and an immense feeling of emptiness.

The question on everybody's lips is'' why? ''. WHY LITTLE KIDS? What did shooting innocent babies bring to this demented killer? Horror? Shock? No one knows.

REST IN PEACE, little angels. We will always remember you, and please don't think that all grown-ups are bad.

6. SIX adults who made the ultimate sacrifice. They used their bodies to shield ''their'' children from an armed attacker. These adults are heroes. ALL OF THEM. Let's NEVER forget them:

REST IN PEACE, friends. You have a place in my heart forever. You paid it forward in the most noble of ways.
